Working with Reilly’s daylight recession key to establish my big color and value relationships before I couch in the details. It’s amazing how easy painting is once this step is completed.

Some finished pieces I recently varnished. All 10”x10”, oil on cradled panel.

Back at it tonight with a velatura study of transparent sheer fabric.

Celebrating my 37th with some good news. My painting, A Study in Yellow Red, is available for purchase in the American Store at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Stop by and buy it (or just look at it).

Scumbling light values with lead white over asphaltum imprimatura.

Just finished a recent commission. Signed, sealed, and shipped.

Calling this done. Learned a great deal from this painting.

WIP Belated Easter painting. Peep buddy Christ easel right. Gonna glaze the jelly beans and attack the opalescent easter grass. 10x10” oil on panel.
